Kansas's Story...
Hello, my name is Kansas and my brother and I are in need of a forever home. Here at the shelter I am pretty scared but when I was in a home this is how my previous owner described me- I'm quiet and independent, not a fan of being held or carried but I can be a cuddler when I want to be. I like playing with strings, watching laser lights and being with my brother Kentucky. I love my brother very much and I feel safer when he is around so we are called a bonded pair- which means we have to be adopted together. Please come and visit us soon if you are looking to adopt 2 cats like us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kansas, a Reisterstown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Reisterstown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Reisterstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reisterstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reisterstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reisterstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
