My story

If you are interested in adopting, please send us an e-mail requesting an Application Form. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required. Also, a MINIMUM 5' high fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and invisible fences are NOT acceptable.


Chavo is a very sweet 1-1/2 year old boy who loves to cuddle. He would do best in a home with no small children. He loves to learn new things and is very praise motivated. He is a typical young adolescent that must be watched when playing with other dogs so he does not get too ramped up. He is respectful of the older female dogs in the home and does not pressure them to play with him. He is happy to lie alongside of them and chew a bone. He does very well with routine which includes at least one walk a day. He is learning to walk very well on a leash. He knows the “wait” command so as not to bolt outdoors. We have been working on a reliable sit, down, stay, and “look to” me for commands. He is housebroken and is beyond the destructive puppy chewing stage. He does well in a crate for short periods of time during the day, provided he has been exercised and sleeps well in a crate at night. Prior experience with Siberian Huskies is a requirement to adopt Chavo.
