Howdy my name is Dennis the Menace
Let me tell you a little about me. They call me Dennis the Menace, but you can call me Dennis. I am a precocious and very lovable, freckle-mug 2 year old pup with a penchant for mischief. My Foster parents can only shake their heads and try to explain my antics to others. Despite this, they really do love me very much. Maybe it’s my wide-eyed curiosity, or my well-meaning attempts to help? My innocent, matter-of-fact bluntness?
My youthful energy and enthusiastic nature always seem to lead to trouble wherever I go (not really!). Whenever I go to the local PetSmart to try out toys I end up breaking them and my Foster parents have to buy them.
Okay – now for the real Dennis. Dennis is a very active 2yr old boy with lots of energy. We are guessing his age. Dennis is very playful and loves toys, especially balls and Nylabones. He does need to learn some manners due to his young age. He gets a bit over excited when he meets new people and he jumps, we are working on that. He is eager to please. He is crate trained, housebroken for the most part (he is still young), leash trained, and learning commands. He does not like a whole lot of commotion nor loud noises. He is truly a wonderful little dog.
As for Dennis’ medical. He is currently being treated for Demodex mange (not contagious). He is going soon for a repeat skin scrape to check progress. He is somewhat high maintenance due to his skin issues. Hey what Bulldog isn’t? He will require weekly baths to control the yeast on his skin. His wrinkles need to be cleaned on a daily basis to keep up his (VERY) good looks. He is up to date on shots, was neutered just recently, had an umbilical hernia repair, and he has little warts on his face which were sent off for biopsy; we are waiting on results. His little warts make him very distinctive and gives him character.
Dennis does get along with other dogs, no cats. Due to his strength, we are asking there be no children under 15.
