Max's Story...
"Are you looking for a good-natured and amiable dog who also happens to be very cute? Well, look no further. My name is MAX, and I'm a nine-year-old mellow fellow with a heart of gold. I came here to the El Cajon Animal Shelter after my owner passed away, so I'm looking forward to finding a home where I'll be loved. I get along great with everyone, whether it's another dog or a person, so I'd be a wonderful family pet. I have a thick, healthy coat, and I just had my teeth cleaned at the vet. I'm ready to go! I enjoy going for walks, and I'll be happy to snuggle up with you whenever or wherever you want. Everyone here agrees that I'm an all-around great dog. If you head on over to the shelter to visit me, you can find out for yourself. I've already been house trained, and my manners are impeccable. As a Super Senior, MY ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $30. That includes my microchip, plus I'm up-to-date on shots and I've already been neutered. That's a pretty good deal! Please come spend some time with me so you can see what a loving friend I can be for you. I think you'll find that I'll bring you comfort and peace. Love, Max" Kennel #59

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a El Cajon Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
