Smokey's Story...
Smokey is a male Yorkshire Terrier, 1 year in age. He is a tiny little guy, weighing in at 4 pounds full grown. Smokey has an adorable little body with a beautiful face. His silver and gray coat is non-shedding. He was professionally groomed and is sporting a shorter hair cut. Smokey was rescued from a Southern CA shelter where he was surrendered by his owner as he had a fractured rear leg. Surgery was performed and his fracture is now healed. He is a delightful little character with a happy disposition. Smokey is good with other dogs and enjoys gentle companionship with smaller dogs. He would also be fine as an only dog as he mostly just loves people. An easier, sweeter little guy will be hard to find! Smokey is excellent inside the home and a real cuddle bug. He is like a little prince, prancing around the house just as nice and handsome as can be. He has a big heart in that tiny little body and is going to make a wonderful, loving, devoted pet. Smokey is ready for his new loving forever home today!

Smokey will be at the PETSMART LA JOLLA VILLAGE SQUARE, LA JOLLA, CA this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a San Diego Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
