Wink's Story...
Well hello there, my name is Wink and I am looking for a forever home. I was rescued from Memphis animal services. Couple rescue ladies spotted me there and knew I was in some trouble, it seems like nobody wanted to adopt a dog with an eye injury. I was hurting, but I just knew if I could show them what a sweet boy I am, they wouldn't even notice my eye injury. Well, they fell in love, scooped me up, and took me straight to the vet.

The vet took one look at my eye and said it needed to come out. They said that my other eye was healthy and that I'd go on to lead a very happy, healthy life's a one eyed dog. Phew, what a relief!

Boy was the vet right! Now I would be lying if I said it didn't take a minute to adjust to life with one eye. I did bump into things some, how embarrassing, but I've learned how to not do that any more. I am feeling great and ready to find my forever home.

People tell me that I am a good boy, sweet and happy. I like other dogs and kids and walk well on leash. My adoption fee is $400, and includes all my vaccinations, neuter surgery, microchip, health certificate, and transportation from Memphis to your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wink, a Chicago Boxer/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Bulldog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Boxer/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Bulldog breeders who help with Boxer/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
