Davy was found on a dead end road south of Houston. The family that found him is use to taking in the strays that find their way to their back porch. This wonderful 3 y/o boy was a welcome addition to HBHR’s great beagles. Davy has recovered from heart worm treatment and is excited about finding himself a family. Davy is a full sized beagle at 15+ inches and is a muscular 28 pounds.

Often males who have never been neutered are hard to house train. Davy was a nice surprise. He came knowing how to use a dog door and fully house broken. This boy has great house manners and though he is crate trained, he has not needed kenneling in his foster home. Davy interacts well with all the members of his beagle pack and will join in on a game of chase or tug of war. He is easy going and wrestles with the small females without problems. Davy has that laid back, gentle personality that makes it easy for him to blend into any group. Davy can get noisy when on a scent, but is generally a quiet guy in the house. He walks well on a leash and would love a family that enjoys daily walks.

Sweet and loving are good words to describe this guy. He is never demanding of your attention, but welcomes all the pets you can give him. He enjoys visits from the neighborhood kids so would do well with any size family. Davy deserves a family of his very own. Apply today to come and meet him.
