SANTINI's Story...

Hi everyone! My name is Santini and I'm here hoping to soon find a home of my very own. What happened before I was rescued is all a blur, but I can tell you how I got another chance at a happy life. I found myself thrown in the streets of Queens and I was all alone and scared. There were a few nice people who would bring me a can of food but most just walked by me as if I wasn't there.  I mostly stayed under a car but would come out looking for attention and made the mistake of going into the street once or twice since the outdoor world was all new to me.  It was getting dark one night so I decided to curl myself up in a ball, face buried in my tail on the side of a building. All of a sudden, a nice lady gently woke me, picked me up and carried me to her house. How nice it was and is to be warm, dry, safe and fed! She loves me,  but says she must help the others like me out there so it's time for us to find my forever home! I am a very sweet and gentle guy, who loves attention and naps, but I also enjoy playing with my toys! I'm approximately 1 1/2 - 2 years old, neutered,  fully vaccinated,  FIV / FELV negative and flea/worm/mite free. If you want me to come keep you company,  please let us know.  There's an application,  adoption fee and home visit required. Hope to hear from you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SANTINI, a Ridgewood Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ridgewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ridgewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
