Margie's Story...
Margie is pretty famous around the Yelp house. She is around 7-8 years old and has one of the biggest personalities you will ever meet. In true Beagle fashion she is a lover of treats, and will hunt all day for a morsel of food. She is good with other dogs and will snuggle from time to time, but doesn't need a playmate to be happy. Please contact us at info@yelpbr.com or call 225-485-9200 to schedule your appointment to meet the Margie in person. Thank you for sharing this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Margie, a Baton Rouge Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
