Introducing Jack. Jack is a senior dachshund beagle mix. He bonds closely to his primary caretaker but will be standoffish to new people until he gets to know them. Since he can be snappy if a stranger gets in his face, we recommend a home with no young kids. He’ll require a home who understands his temperament and will be patient in giving him the time and space for him to get to know you. It would be such a gift for him to have a loving home in which he could live out his golden years. To learn more about Jack please email RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Thank you.

About Smiling Dog Farms - CT Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.

Our sanctuary dogs that have been deemed “unadoptable” because they have bitten someone, or have other behavioral challenges, have a safe home with us for their lifetime and are also up to date on shots, sterilized and on heartworm prevention.

Our Adoption Process...

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
