Willie's Story...
Hey there! My name is Willie, and as you can see by the picture I'm a cute little ball of fluff! They're guessing I'm a husky mix, and am around 4-5months old. I was surrendered to the shelter with my siblings after our owner was unsuccessful at finding us new homes. Unfortunately, we were kept in an outside pen for the first few months of our lives, rather than being inside a nice warm house. Because of that, I am a bit fearful and am under-socialized around people.

I am up to date on vaccines, neutered, and have a microchip. Now all I'm waiting for is my new family to come take me home and love me! Please call the shelter to make arrangements if you'd like to meet me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willie, a Youngwood Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Husky puppy from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
