My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brooklyn will soon turn 4 months old and is ready to find herself a family to call her own. This sweet little girl was found stray south of Houston when she was only 2 months old! She is a beauty with her unique blue ticked coat and currently is about 11 inches tall and a little chunky at 15 pounds.

Brooklyn is your typical puppy. She plays hard with her foster siblings, especially Ivy, and then crashes for a nap. She loves all things that squeak and will steal anything that she can get away with. As the brat of the pack, she often gets what she wants by just barking in their faces until they give it up! Her most amazing talent is swimming. There is a small fish pond at her foster home and she loves jumping in and swimming around on hot days. She then runs through the house dripping water everywhere while you try to catch her with a towel! She thinks it is great fun! So if you have a pool, Brooklyn may not be the one you want!

Brooklyn is housebroken with the use of a dog door. She sleeps through the night without needing a to go out. Brooklyn spends very little time in a crate, because her foster parents are both retired. She has plenty of toys and bones to chew on, so has never gotten into things that did not belong to her.

This girl is a cuddler and likes to snuggle up next to you when she takes one of her many naps even when she is wet! She loves to give kisses and for a little one with sharp puppy teeth, she rarely nips anyone, even the neighbor kids who come for a play date. She is very good with young kids and loves to chase around with them in the yard. She will do great with a family who has experience with beagles and has time and energy for a young dog. She will do best if she has a canine companion for when everyone is off to work and school. For a little one, she has a loud, deep bay, so would not do well in an apartment.
