Lorenzo's Story...
Lorenzo is the most stunning long haired dachshund, he is approx 4-5 yrs old and 27 lbs. He is Mr Personality! He just loves to explore, and go for walk. He does not like to be left alone outside. He gets along with all of the other rescues and just loves puppies.. he is just fascinated by them and just loves to play with all of the new pups that come in. He is well behaved. loves to go on walks and rides in the car, seems to be pretty well house trained and is just has that funny dachshund personality and traits. He has been treated for heartworm and is on a monthly heart worm preventive. He is quick out the door, so he should not be in a home with young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lorenzo, a Woonsocket Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Woonsocket, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Woonsocket.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woonsocket already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woonsocket breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woonsocket paves the way for another one to be saved.
