My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies~

My name is Presley and at the beautiful age of 6 months old I was found running the streets a scared and dirty little girl, animal control finally picked me up and held me for 5 days. Sadly no one came for me even though my story was shared all over! They were going to sell me at the pound in a first come first served style but thankfully some very kind volunteers intervened and got me into foster care with CAA Rescue and I am soooooooooo happy now!

I am a pretty good girl and a typical 6 month old baby that obviously no one spent any time with.
My foster mummy always wonders what my story is and who had me – I so wish I could just tell her to stop worrying about all that because I don’t care to look back any more; all I have is every day to look forward to now in my lovely foster home
See it is sooooo lovely there because I have other doggies to play with and they are teaching me a lot about what are acceptable doggie behaviors. Sometimes I can be a little hard headed but my much bigger and older foster bro is quite patient with me.

I also live with kitty cats and I am very interested in hanging out with them. I have fun bugging them and don’t you worry they bug me right back. So if you have a shy and nervous kitty I am probably a little too much “HEY Who are You … Wanna Play, HUH?!? Huh?!? HUH?!” for them to handle but if you have an outgoing doggie friendly cat then I am sure we can get along.

While I was not house trained when I came into foster care my foster family was very diligent with my training and me being such a super smart girl who aims to please her humans caught on super uber fast!
I have had no accidents now in quite a few days but I suspect that changes to a new home with new rules and new schedules might set me back a bit but if you listen to my foster mummy she will tell you what she did and how fast I learned! So please if you bring me home and I have an accident be patient and kind with me while I may be 6 months old no one ever spent any time with me! So all this learning is new to me and it is a whole lot of fun but I have a lot to get caught up on because I started so late.

I am here, there and everywhere on the leash so you will have to help with learning the ropes on that too and continuing my doggy training and socialization so I grow into the perfect canine citizen I know I was always meant to be!
Since it is believed that I am a German Shepherd mixed with Pug (no official DNA tests done just the best guess any one can figure out on my most predominate breeds) I should remain on the smaller size as right now I am approximately 20 lbs

I really respond well to positive style reinforcement training, meaning I don’t need to be yelled at or yanked on by my collar or leash. When rewarded for my good behavior with a treat and distracted from the poor behavior I respond really well.

I am fast like lightening so a fenced in back yard is a must for me to zip around in!
I have not been left alone for any extended periods of time but in typical puppy fashion if it gets too quiet in the home when I am awake you can be sure that I am off exploring AKA getting into trouble!
So I really need a family who is active maybe one who would like to try agility classes with me or an even better start might be obedience classes … people who want to spend time with me! I am a good and pretty girl and really deserve to have at least one person on this planet love for all time!

I do currently live with children ages 12 years and up but have not been tested with any younger than that but please keep in mind that I still really am a baby myself and need a lot of your time and attention

I am pretty good in the car now; I was nervous at first but the more and more I am shown and experience the more confidence I gain so I think that if you have any road trips planned this summer or are heading to the chalet for some fun in the sun I will be a perfect companion!

Foster mummy says I am quite amazing! & coming from her that means a lot because she told me she has fostered a lot of doggies over the years but she says I am by far the smartest little girl …. But I bet she says that to all of her foster babies!

I have no shyness with men and have already adopted foster daddy’s lap as my comfy pass out place while he watches the Habs games!

I still have one visit to Animal 911 vet in Roxboro for my spay
If you have time and devotion, are home a lot to spend time with me as grow and to teach me all about life, established in a house and responsible with puppy raining knowledge then maybe you should come meet me.
To bring me home there will be adoption fee and a sterilization deposit fee. The adoption fee covers all my vetting: vaccinations including rabies, dewormings, spay and micro chip at Animal 911 vet in Roxboro; my new family will have to make the remaining visit. The sterilization deposit will be returned after I get spayed at Animal 911. CAA Rescue is asking for this sterilization deposit to protect me and my future, to ensure I am happy, safe and healthy for all times with no making babies of my own one day. So if you have puppy training knowledge and would like to meet me in hopes of taking me home forever as I am ready to make the next big step in my life please email CAARescue@gmail.com and ask them for an application to meet me, Presley!
