Duke's Story...
This handsome boy is Duke, and he is extremely friendly!! He's an adult Lab mix, and quite a roly poly boy. He's got a scar on his head, but he won't say what happened. He also has an indentation around his neck from a collar. He's a really sweet boy but he does have one flaw--he's a fence climber! If you have a privacy fence, that would be better for this escape artist. Come and meet Duke--wear your old clothes

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Jacksonville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
