Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is truly one of the cutest faces on the Rescued for Life website. Those perky ears
and innocent brown eyes are just begging for a home. This sweet little thing is Darcy.
He’s got long legs and a slender body, though he’s just a little guy; we think he’s an Italian
Greyhound/Miniature Pincher mix. Darcy is a special little boy who needs an extra special
family who will love him for who he is; a sweet, but shy pup.
We found Darcy at a high kill Shelter where we were told he would be put down immediately
if we did not take him. Darcy was considered unadoptable because he was born with two
tails and under-developed genitalia. We had his second tail removed, and the veterinarian
assured us that everything else works properly. The shelter only considered him unadoptable
because he looked different from the other dogs.
Darcy is fully crate-trained and can last through the night without a potty break, but during the
day, he needs to go out every three to four hours. Though his past makes him skittish
around new people, he is loving and affectionate once he gets to know you. He gets along well
with other dogs too. He just needs a loving family or individual to show him that he is worthy
of affection and will no longer be rejected because he was born a little different. Darcy is
in good health, and only about three years old; still young and energetic, but old enough to enjoy
sleeping at your feet, or on your lap when you’re in the mood for some quiet time.
If you’d like to meet this sweet boy, please submit an adoption application to adopt@rescuedforlife.org
Please note: We do not adopt out of State. Thank you for understanding!
