Rocky's Story...
Rocky is an absolutely fabulous handsome young boy who found himself in a pickle at home and could not stay with his family anymore. A family member developed allergies to poor Rocky and so he had to leave his family. Rocky is a very intelligent, sensitive, playful, goofy sweet sweet boy. He is 2.5 yrs old and is very very active and inquisitive. He loves water, walks, fetching toys and dragging tires around! We adore Rocky and hope to find him the perfect active family. He gets along with other dogs, and has been with cats in his prior family but we cannot guarantee anything moving forward in that area. Rocky has a little bit of food bowl guarding so we do not recommend him for a family with very young children. He is some what vocal like a husky, but not too obnoxious. He rides in the car very well, and walks on a leash ok but pulls. A harness would suit him well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Olivehurst Akita/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Olivehurst, or seeking a Akita/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Olivehurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olivehurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olivehurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Akita/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olivehurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
