My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jack Daniels - that famous Tennessee spirit! Jack is a 5 year old, 24lb, Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix boy that has a heart the size of Texas. Jack came to us as a scared, scarred and wounded skinny dog that wanted to hide under the deck. But this boy quickly learned to trust humans again and he has never looked back. And what a spirit this boy has! He is a player, a cuddler and a lover, all rolled into one great dog. When Jack came to his current foster home, he made himself right at home and quickly made friends with the other dogs there. Then he discovered the toy box and learned that he loves almost any kind of toy: Nylabones, stuffed and unstuffed animals, balls. If you aren’t in the mood to throw a tennis ball or stuffed animal for him to catch, he will fling it through the air and play by himself or ask another dog to play. Although he enjoys his playtime, he is definitely happy to cuddle up in his dog bed or with you on the sofa and take a nice nap. If you want a snuggly little bear to cuddle, he loves to be held and when he is really tired, will bury his head between your arm and your body, or under a pillow, so he can sleep undisturbed. Sometimes Jack sleeps with his tongue out which is so darn cute. So, does this wonderful boy have any flaws? Well, he is not crazy about the crate, but he happily sleeps in his dog bed when you tuck him in. He is almost house trained and walks well on leash but needs some training on not barking at other dogs and people he encounters. If you are looking for a dog who wants nothing more than to please you and enjoy a few simple pleasures in life, then this Tennessee boy is for you. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
