Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a Border Collie mix, born about 11/2011 (estimate). Not just a super model, she is very keen alert, responsive, HARD WORKING, ENERGETIC, and REALLY SMART! She is also very loyal and faithful. Lucy is a perfect dog for an active person or family, someone who wants to take their dog on long walks, runs, hikes, and perhaps chase a tennis ball or 10. Border Collies are so smart and energetic that they need to have activities to engage both their bodies and their minds; little activity will result in an unhappy dog (and unhappy owners). But don't be put off by her intelligence and energy, if you are out there doing something and you want company, and perhaps a little help - Lucy is perfect for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Parkville Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
