Blackberry-good lap cat's Story...
Blackberry is a one year old Black DLH spayed female. She is a real beauty! She is outgoing and very affectionate and follows the foster mom around the house. She is an active cat who likes to explore all areas of the house. She is a great lap cat. She is quite rough with other cats, but is good with the dog and will lick it. She is best seen at home as Petco is too loud for her.

Our cats are shown for adoption on Saturdays at the Troy Petco on Coolidge Rd from 11-4 PM.

If interested in a particular cat, please go to and fill out an application in its entirety and email it to us. We will then call you. This step is helpful before coming to see the cat. It does not obligate you to adopt.

The Cat Connection tests all their cats for leukemia and FIV. All have age appropriate shots for distemper and rabies. All cats are wormed and litter trained. All cats or kittens are spayed or neutered and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackberry-good lap cat, a Royal Oak Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Royal Oak, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Royal Oak.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Royal Oak already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Royal Oak breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Royal Oak paves the way for another one to be saved.
