Celine is a sweet girl that loves to be petted. She sleeps right up next to you and has the loudest purr box. She gets along with other cats but don’t know about doggies! She will need a little time to adjust to a new home, but once settled in, she will meet you at the door. Celine has one little white spot on her belly and she likes her belly rubbed. She is very curious about the shower and when she hears it, she comes to see, then walks in and laps water once it’s turned off. Celine is already spayed and she is up to date on her shots. She has short hair and is litter box trained. She is a kitten with a DOB of 10/13/14. She would be good for a young person or small family. Please contact Billie by calling 866-391-2502 or Billie.Black@caotti.net for more information.

About Humane Society of McCormick County, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

The Humane Society of McCormick County is a private, non-profit, no-kill organization formed in September 2000. We are staffed 100% by volunteers and we raise every penny ourselves as we live in a very poor county where 54% of the population is poverty level or below. The county has no money for an animal control officer or shelter. We are all our county has for any help with animals. We approach this problem through our "No more litters....fix your critters" low to no cost spay/neuter program. Over 240 animals have been altered in the first 6 months of 2013 free of charge to those who qualified for it. We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, to providing shelter and care for lost and unwanted animals, to implementing educational programs and services, to promoting responsible pet ownership including population control (spaying and neutering are a must), and to placing animals in humane environments. The Humane Society of McCormick County is an advocate for animals - speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. We are also in the process of building a refuge where animals may live out their natural life without threat to it but we need help with the development. If anyone living in the McCormick area would like to help with this venture, we would truly appreciate it!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are in the process of fundraising for a spay and neuter / shelter facility. Most of our animals are in foster care or outside pens. Please call or email us to make an appointment or check our website to see our schedule of adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

The animals in our care urgently need a permanent home where someone can provide individual loving care and attention. Please consider adopting your family pet from the Humane Society of McCormick County. We would require that you sign an adoption agreement wherein you commit to take proper care of the pet. The adoption fee is $90 for dogs and $60 for cats. Every animal has been given all appropriate vaccinations. Every animal that is old enough has been spayed/neutered.
