Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
My name is Tony and I am a 3 year old male neutered Poodle/Terrier mix who came to NBS Animal Rescue when I was found as a stray wandering around in the freezing cold rain one day. The kind people at NBS Animal Rescue took me to the doggy doctor to get my many cuts and abrasions taken care of as I was in pretty bad shape. Thankfully the kind volunteers were really gentle with me and they took me to a great doctor who helped me feel much better!
I am now living in an awesome foster home that has two small Chihuahua's who love to romp and play and chase with me. My foster mom and dad have done a great job of teaching me how to potty outside and to walk on a leash - two things I probably never did before in my previous home. I am very shy and nervous around new people so I need a home that is going to be very patient and gentle with me as I learn how to trust them. I like when my foster parents are home often so I would like that for my fur-ever home too.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?

If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
