Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Fred, Fred is a very special little gentleman. Just to give you a little history on how Fred came to be a super hero here at HCW. Fred was rescued from his chain that he lived on his entire life. Full of smiles and love to give, his family moved and left him abandoned in the back yard with a dilapidated dog house and that haunting chain. Their loss was surly our gain, Fred met me with his tail wagging and craving love. Full of excitement and ready for his freedom, Fred started couching. Upon our first visit to the vet he was tested negative for heart-worms, heart and lungs sound wonderful. We have treated him for possible kennel cough with antibiotics and he still has a cough. It is determined that he may have a collapsed trachea. So basically what that means is occasionally he will do a honking couch but it comes in small spells and they pass. Either way he is very happy about his new life. He is in a foster home and he's loving all the luxuries a safe, comfortable , and secure home that is being provided for him but more than anything he wants his own forever family. Fred weighed 22 lbs and needs to gain a few pounds to get him to a good healthy weight. He was full of intestinal parasites, not now, all of those are gone. He is now neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. His teeth are in excellent shape and our vet estimates his age at around 5 years old. This guy has super powers in so many ways....actually as I sit here and type he is patiently waiting for me to put the computer up and allow him in my lap. His love is unconditional, with the life he has lived he is always smiling, happy to see you, and a bright shining light day in and day out.
