My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

YAYI is a 1 1/2 year old, neutered, Fox Red boxer/shepherd mix (thinks she is a Lab) who weighs 71 pounds. Please don’t tell her otherwise! She is the sweetest girl, constantly seeking attention, even passing up treats to get her ears rubbed. Yayi loves kids and is very good with them. Lived with kids as young as 5. She is house trained, knows sit and down and has a soft mouth taking treats. Yayi is strong and might do best on an easy-walk harness. YAYI is a sweet and loving dog! She was brought in with a lab with whom we thought she was bonded. After a few weeks together we determined that both dogs do better apart. She is an excellent leash-walker and such a lady. She looks to you for cues and likes to meet and be with people. Yayi is lovely around people. She is good around male dogs as long as everyone is off-leash, but not good around female dogs -- this honey needs to be the queen! Come meet Yayi, she will make your day! YaYi is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (5/19): This fabulous girl knows sit, down and roll over. When she rolls over she loves a little belly rub. Yayi loves to say hello to people and has been friendly with everyone she meets. She is an awesome walker and passes dogs, people and even the mailman perfectly. She does sometimes startle with unusual noises but doesn't do anything unladylike!

Update (5/13)- She was a good girl on our walk. She knows sit and definitely knows her name. She was good with the my two kids and the neighbor (ages 10 and 12). She sat for each of them and took treats nicely. She was a bit nervous on the walk of cars and different noises; her tail would go underneath her when she was scared. We encountered one annoying yappy dog barking at us, so we stayed across the street. I gave Yayi a verbal command (AHH AHHHHH) to ignore the dog anytime she looked at him or her and she did great. She loves her walks!
