Star's Story...
Hey there friends, I’m Star! I’m approximately 11 months old and I weigh 47 lbs. I was picked up by animal control in North Alabama and no one ever came to claim me. I was pretty bummed about that until I was told I was going to a place called AGB that would make sure I found my forever family. That sounded pretty good to me, so I was ready to get in the car and ride. Speaking of riding, I did really good riding in a crate. As a matter of fact, I shared the crate with another dog and he and I got along great, so that tells you I am friendly with other dogs too. Other than some pesky old hookworms that AGB is treating me for, I’m in good health. I am told I’m sweet and friendly and still have some puppy energy in me so learning to walk on a leash was kinda different for me. I think I still need to work on that a little bit. I’m also pretty smart so if you spend some time training me, I bet I’ll be the best dog you ever had. If all this sounds good to you and you want me to be the “star” of your family, just let my friends at AGB know that you want to meet me, Star, and they will get us together. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
