Willow's Story...
Willow is a 2 year old long hair Chihuahua mix who was rescued form a hoarding situation. She was one of 17 dogs removed from a residence and surrendered to us. She has been with us for many months and is still very fearful. Willow loves to run and play with other playful friendly dogs and go for walks. She will require an owner who is kind, gentle and has much patience for her to trust in her own time. Her home must be a quiet, and an adult only home. When feeling stressed or scared, she will hide under her bed. She has gained more confidence, but this has been a slow process and would benefit with 1:1 contact. She will require another dog to make her feel secure. Her adoption fee of $180 is negotiable to the right owner and home visit. Willow has all vaccines, spayed and micro-chipped. Call Karen to meet her 480.229.9530 or email karen@2darescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Apache Junction Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Apache Junction, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Apache Junction.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apache Junction already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apache Junction breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apache Junction paves the way for another one to be saved.
