Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB April 15, 2012.
My name is Bruce!
I am a big, handsome, orange tabby who loves to lay around all day watching my foster parents go about their daily lives. I love to be close to my humans, but not directly in their way. I can often be heard purring while just watching the day go by. I am a low maintenance cat with a very laid back, calm personality. I am more than content to sleep the day away curled up in my bed while my humans are out. This doesn’t mean I don’t like to play though - dangle a piece of string or toy in front of me and I will be in my element. I am three years young!
My foster parents have noticed a few of my quirky tendencies. For one, I love belly rubs more than anything. Also, I love water. I have been caught trying to jump in the shower on more than one occasion, and am known to explore the toilet bowl if the lid's left up. I am not necessarily a “lap-cat” but I have no problem with being picked up for short amounts of time to enjoy a good cuddle - sometimes I might mistake your cuddle as the start of a play-time though. When I’ve had enough, I will kindly let you know with a touch of my paw. I have never used my claws or bitten my foster parents in a non-friendly natured way - I am a softy at heart! However, smaller children may not always understand my subtle gestures, so I would thrive in a household without very young children. I am talkative from time-to-time, only because I want to be part of my humans conversations! (I like to sing along with my foster parents too!)
I was originally found as a stray, and spent a few lonely months at a shelter before given the chance to be my true self in my foster home. I am neutered and up to date with all of my vaccinations. I have tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. I do not require medication, and can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats. Please do not judge me based on a blood test!
I could really use a good home, where I can spend my days napping and keeping my family company. Will you be my fur-ever family?
