Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there! My name is Rose. My friends think that I am Terrier/ Wirehaired Dachshund mix. I'm approximately 2-years-old and I weigh about 21 pounds.
Speak to anyone here and they'll tell you that I am the sweetest pup around. I just love people!! I'm the most happy when I'm lying in the lap of one of my human companions. It only takes me a quick moment to settle in and fall asleep. I think it goes without saying that I would be the perfect dog for someone that likes to cuddle. I am all about that stuff!
Unfortunately, not a lot is known about my background. What we do know is that I was a stray - found on the streets of South Central LA. Animal Control caught me and took me to a high-kill shelter in the area. The pound was cold and loud and I was scared to death. Trust me, it was no place for such a sweet, adorable dog like me. Thankfully, though, I was only there for 8 days before CageFree rescued me. I've heard that dogs can spend months at the shelter before being rescued! I definitely consider myself one of the lucky ones!
My friends speculate that I had a responsible owner at one point in time because of how well-behaved I am. I'm really good on a leash! Let me rephrase that, I'm exceptional on a leash! I never walk in front of my handlers and I constantly check in to make sure I'm doing what I am supposed to be doing. It actually makes me very uncomfortable to be in the lead. I'd much prefer that my human take that role. I should also mention that I'm not much of a barker and I do really well in a crate. I never make a peep! I am just going to go ahead and say it. I am the perfect dog!
So....
Now that I've told you a little about me, what do you think? Would I make a great companion for you? I hope the answer is yes. I'm looking forward to exploring everything that my new life has to offer and I sure hope we can explore it together. Please hurry and contact CageFree to setup a time to come meet me!
