My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marly was saved back in January from a high kill shelter where she was dumped by her owners. It was very cold back then with all the ice and we pulled her as soon as we heard a little dog was in the pound. We had no clue why her owners turned her in till we figured out this poor girl was heart worm positive. It was a very weak positive but they had not done right by her to have kept her on prevention. This is not the first time we have treated a heart worm positive dog and already have 6 so far this year that we have treated for it. Please don't let this worry you as this does not cause a dog long term problems. She got treated in late February and had to be calm for a month while the meds worked. It can take 6 months to a year for a dog to show negative, we have not had any issues with it not being negative after the treatment. Marly was a weak positive and we have all the papers for this. Other than this poor girl having to go through this she is a perfect house guest. In her foster home she is not crated at all as she is potty trained and never causes any problems. She sleeps on the bed with her foster mum and the other little dogs that are in the house. Marly does however prefer to be around small dogs and will bark at big dogs. She has not bothered the cat that is in her foster home. She would be great as a family dog or single persons dog. She is about 15lbs and around 3 years old. She has so much love to give someone. Please consider giving this sweetie a wonderful new home.
