found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Jake came to BrightSide Animal Center from another shelter. He was originally surrendered to that shelter when his previous family didn't have enough time to spend with Jake. He is a bit leary of people when he first meets them. Once he is comfortable with someone he wants to be their best friend. It doesn't take long for Jake to warm up either, especially if you have some string cheese. He LOVES string cheese! The only thing Jake may love more than string cheese is playing with other dogs. Jake gets along great with dogs and would benefit greatly from having a new canine sibling to run and play with. Jake has lived with young children and would be best to be with children over 10 years old. He can be possessive with food around other dogs and has been best when fed in his crate. He does very well sleeping in his crate at night and when left alone. He doesn't like being alone though and definitely prefers having his people and other dogs to be with.
Jake's biggest concern is stranger danger. He is very unsure of strangers and tries to stay back from them. He did bite an adult in September of 2014. Going to the vet can be stressful for Jake also but with a muzzle he sits well for the vet.
Watch Jake's video and come meet him!
