Miss Dixie's Story...
This little girl is part German Shepherd. part yellow lab, and maybe even part short-haired collie. She is affectionate with people, get along great with other dogs, and also with cats and kids.

This little girl– only about 8 weeks old -- would have been killed in the shelter if no one rescued her, so this is your chance to be part of saving lives.

This baby girl, and her brothers and sisters, will make fabulous family companions – they are very sweet and playful.

Please call 858-391-1037 or email dsollohub@ffres.com to adopt a great rescued puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Dixie, a Poway Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Poway, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Poway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Poway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Poway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Poway paves the way for another one to be saved.
