Lucy's Story...
adoption date is 5-10-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date. As of this month, this kitty cat is still at the shelter & is in need of rescue

This is what a volunteer has to say about this kitty cat.
Lucy is around 4 years old. she is thought to be an Abyssinian mix with her unique markings and body shape. This kitty was brought to the shelter because she decided she didn't like the other cats she lived with anymore. Lucy had a safe outdoor enclosure during the day but always wanted to sleep inside at night. Because of this she should be an inside only kitty or have limited daytime outside activities. Lucy liked small dogs and people, she is an active cat so she will be very happy playing with all the toys her new family will be buying for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Grass Valley Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
