My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BRITTANY is a 6 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 51 pounds. Brittany is a shy girl. She kept her run clean at the kennel before arriving to us. She will run out an open door, so future adopters need to be careful about not leaving doors open. This girl is a diamond in the rough looking for someone who will go slowly and let her flourish at her own pace. She is good with other dogs. Brittany was seized from a neglectful situation. She is approved for kids 10+.

Update (6/2) : Brittany is an adorable girl, on the smaller side for a lab. She has been with us four days now and adjusted easily to our home. She gets along with the resident lab and has shown nothing but wonderful house manners. Brittany rotates between using the dog beds to curl up and stretching out on the floor. If I had to guess, I would say that Brittany's favorite sense is smell. On walks she likes sniffing and in the yard she follows the scent of a bunny or other critter that passed through the area. In the home she sniffs the air frequently when dinner is cooking. Oh, and when she's onto a trail in the yard, she can be sniffing so intently she makes soft noises like a piggie! You don't want to miss meeting this sweetie pie!

Update (5/15): I visited with Brittany and she is a sweetie. She was calm and gentle. She came me up to me and she wanted pets and cuddles. She really wanted to get onto my lap. She liked visiting with the dogs and she walks well on the leash but may startle around loud noises. Brittany will dash off if you leave the door open so it is important to be careful when coming and going. Brittany is headed to a foster home tomorrow and we will know more about her very soon.
