Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Read the bio completely. Kelly is a barker so would not be suitable for a condo or apt. Kelly came into rescue after her short time owners bought her and found they were highly allergic. She is 20 lbs, spayed, current on her shots and microchipped. She is a two years old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and is crate and housetrained. She enjoys walks, toys and is playful. She is high energy, very intelligent and needs continued obediene training and a corgi/herding savvy dog adopter who will take her through other athletic sports such as agility, flyball, track, scent or even herding. She is an alpha female so while not bad with some dogs would not do good with another alpha dog and probably a male dog is best. She definitely needs a playmate. She isn't the best bred corgi as she is leggy but that would make her a good candidate for flyball. We do not place corgis, because of the herding instinct with families with young toddlers and small fry. We also do not place Corgis with young couples planning a family in a couple of years. Most corgis come into rescue after a couple starts a family and they see their one year old toddler and the dog not hitting it off. Adoption process applies: completion of a pre adopt ap, hmck, contract, donation of $300, 2 week trial period and followup visit if in Southern CA. We do not ship dogs out of state. Adopters in other parts of CA, NV or AZ may apply but they would have to drive to us in the southbay area of Los Angeles County. We would have a rescue colleague in their area do a hmck on our behalf.
