Sophie's Story...
This lovely young lady is Sophie and she is searching for her loving forever home. Sophie really wants someone who will be in it with her for the long haul since cats can live to be upwards of 20 years. She is a very shy girl who will need a quiet home that will give the time she needs to blossom into confidence. Sophie is the type of cat that likes to find little out of the way nooks and crannies to claim as her own personal little den from which she can watch the world go by. With patience she is a very loving girl who will make someone a great companion. Sophie is fairly comfortable around other cats and should be able to live with a mellow male that can help show her the ropes. Given her timid nature, Sophie would really prefer a home without any dogs. She also needs a home with older children or adults only who will give her the time she needs. If this shy sweetheart seems like the one for you, please come up to the front to fill out an adoption application to spend some quality time with Sophie toda

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
