My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Rocco Rockabilly. Rocco is an adorable long haired boy with a super long body! He was rescued from a shelter outside of Houston, and was very timid when he first arrived, but is now starting to come out of his shell. He likes being outside where he runs as fast as he can around the yard. We believe he's a little over a year old as he acts very puppy-ish and is generally submissive. He gets along great with all the other dogs!

He's just now discovering toys and will happily chase anything if it's thrown. He's not a foodie at all and has no food aggression. In fact, he will leave his bowl if an intruder steps in!! He's showing some separation anxiety right now, but even that is improving. He's not crate trained and does not like it at all but he is a great little car rider, provided he can rest his head on your lap where he lays like a perfect angel.

He's working on house training. The good news is that he does not lift his leg to mark inside! His temporary foster mom says she's never seen a Dachshund that can hold it as long as he does. He is a sweet, sweet boy who needs someone to love him unconditionally and provide him with the forever security he so rightly deserves. If that is you... you will have an incredible lifetime companion with Rocco!
