Scout is a male Black Mouth Cur mix (a herder with hound traits), 4 months old and 15 pounds. It is estimated that he will be a medium sized dog between 40 and 50 pounds.
Scout is outgoing and is very social with people. He has a gentle disposition and is friendly with young children.
He gets along with other dogs. He is confident and would probably do best with non-aggressive dogs who may challenge his bold playfulness. He has not been tested with cats but due to the nature of his breed, it is not recommend that he live in a household with non-canine animals.
Scout is very eager to please and receptive to training. Scout would do best with an experienced dog owner or with professional dog training. He is sensitive and responds to firm, gentle handling. Scout is leash trained and is working on the commands, sit, drop it and stay. Scout is crate trained and housebroken. He needs a yard and regular exercise. He has a moderate to high energy level and is very playful.
Scout is fostered in Huntsville, AL is neutered, micro-chipped and current on all of his immunizations.
