My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I'm Tony the Tiger. RRRRRRR. (That's my best play growl.) I broke my leg in three places last night, so I moved from my racing kennel at the track to a foster home. I'll have surgery next week.

There are SO many interesting things to see! They wouldn't let me sit in the front seat on the way to the vet, so I just crammed my head through the gap and lay my head on the driver's shoulder. I like people and wanted to see everything! When I was at the vet, I saw a box with fuzzy dogs in it. They said it was a "tv." I couldn't get the other dogs to notice or play with me, but I liked watching them.

I'm SO happy with my new foster people and can't wait until I can go on adventures with them or my forever family!

Tony is 2, so had a very short racing career. He is not small dog or cat tolerant. He will be available after rehab.

FOSTER UPDATE:

I'm loving life as a foster. I have to be crated or x-penned most of the time so my leg will heal. I can't WAIT until I can run around the house and go for walks. I LOVE squeaky toys, and there just isn't enough room in my crate to throw them in the air. Soon those squeaky toys will pay....

I ran into my little sister Lindsey at Briarcrest. She was the fourth puppy born in my litter. I was first! She broke her leg the day after I did. She said she did it because she wanted to find me, but I'm not sure I buy that. Lindsey's a bit of a spaz. (Don't tell her I said that.) Anyway...we're both looking for forever homes. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for me to continue to keep an eye on Lindsey. Just sayin'.
