My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Louie!!! We believe Louie is a male, we are awaiting DNA test to confirm! He is a very young 4 years.

He is a healthy happy little guy, but is very much your typical caique. We would recommend some caique experience, only because caique have quite unique personalities. We would not recommend him with young kids because of the way they have bi-polar moments and get really nippy. If you've experienced a caique bite, you will understand that tho these are smaller birds, they pack a nasty bite. And please note, Louie is not an aggressive or mean bird, he is simply your very typical caique.

He is in foster care in Ridgefield, CT


The Adoption Process:Fill out our online adoption application which can be found on our website, www.ahelpingwing.org (no phone calls please). A representative from A Helping Wing will be in touch to answer all questions and discuss setting up a first visit. Multiple visits are required before adoption. Although there is no application fee, there is an adoption fee, which covers food, medical care, etc., and allows us to continue our efforts in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for all of our birds. All birds at AHW have been vetted and have negative tests for any disease before they are made available for adoption!
