Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mr Dobalina was rescued by the Community Cats team during a large trap-neuter-return project. He was a newcomer to the colony, who was very friendly but obviously sick. With a large injury to his ear and an upper respiratory infection, he had to spend a bit of time boarding at the clinic before he could be safely neutered. During his time in boarding, he became a favorite of the staff with his calm, sweet demeanor and adorable big round face. Mr. Dobalina is FIV+* and was born around 2008.
*Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) causes a weakening of the immune system in cats. It's often compared to human HIV, but FIV is not transferable to humans or other species. It is also difficult to transfer to other sterilized cats. FIV+ cats can live with non-FIV cats without transferring the disease. If kept indoors in a stress-free environment, with regular medical care and high-quality nutrition, most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives.
