My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful fluffy Flint was admitted through our Community Cats team, after being pulled from a traditional shelter. Flint was very scared, and had been mistaken for a feral cat. Since feral cats are too often euthanized when instead they could be neutered and returned to their home territory, we pulled him as part of the Feral Freedom program and took him to our clinic for a routine TNR package (which gave him the left ear tip you see!). Before returning him to the Austin neighborhood where he came from, our Community Cats program manager noticed “a soft look in his eyes,” which made her suspect he may just be scared, but not unsocialized to people. Additionally, Flint has a fracture in his tail, suggesting he had been hit by a car and left for dead. It took him some time to recover from the trauma of his past days, but before too long Flint was as you see him today—talkative, purry, and approaching for attention. Flint has overcome a lot in his short life, and we hope he will soon be in the loving, safe home he deserves! Flint was born ~2013.
