Champ's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Champ is a gorgeous 7 month old German Shepherd/mix boy.

Who says you need 4 legs to get around? This Champ certainly doesn't!

Champ was hit by a car and had to have his right front leg amputated down in Houston, but he doesn't let that stop him! He loves to play with his dog friends and absolutely adores being around people. In just under a month he has adjusted very well to being a tripod. When not showing off his new 3-legged skills, he loves to curl up and take naps in his dog bed. This boy is sweet and affectionate and would be a great addition to any family!

Champ is housebroken and crate trained. He has all of his shots and is neutered and microchipped! All this boy needs is a new family to call home.

He will be at our adoption events this weekend:

Friday from 3-6:30pm at Only Natural Pet Store at 2100 28th St #1C, Boulder, CO 80301

For more information about him please email

Our adoption application can be filled out here, (our website is currently under construction, so please excuse the look of this temporary site).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champ, a Boulder German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Boulder, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
