My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We first met Bella on March 3, 2015. It was a very cold night. She was found in a field with a black pit, Bosley. (who has since been adopted) When she came in she was very scared, wet from the snow and very cold. It appeared she had puppies not to long before. We are assuming the 2 dogs were probably dumped once the puppies were old enough to be without their mother. She was extremely under weight where you could count her ribs. We had to separate Bella and Bosley to work on their separation anxiety. Bosley was part of the reason Bella was underweight. He would not let her eat. Once separated, Bella would constantly go back to check her food bowl. She would run around and play for a few minutes and immediately check to make sure it was still there.

On March 25, 2015, Bella was adopted. Unfortunately, she was brought back because her new owner decided she wasn't ready for a dog. At that time Bella was still adjusting. She was brought back on March 26, 2015.

On May 22, 2015, Bella was adopted again. Her new owner said she was great. Slept through the night on her dog bed in the family room and had no accidents. She fell in love with Bella but unfortunately she was brought back again. A family member didn't like that she may be mixed with a pit. By NO fault of her own this was not her forever family.

Bella was adopted a 3rd time and again brought back. The family loved her very much and it was very hard for them to bring her back. Bella and their dog got a long in the beginning but as time went by jealously set in and it wasn't fair to either dog. Bella needs to be in a home with no other pets. She does great with kids of all ages.

Her temperament is great. She loves to give kisses. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, and we are working on down. Bella loves her belly rubbed and walks pretty well on a leash.
