My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker is a great guy looking for a friend to sit next to--maybe on a porch, while you rock in your rocking chair, scratching his head. Parker loves every human he meets and gets really excited when he sees kids. With dogs he doesn't know, Parker is standoffish and barks at them to stay away, but once he becomes used to them, he can coexist peacefully. He did very well in a foster home with kids and cats, and eventually got used to the other dog.

Parker is Canine Good Citizen ready, crate-trained, and housebroken.

Parker is looking for his final, forever home. Shelter life is no place for this sweet boy. At 7 years and a healthy 40lbs (he came to us extremely over weight, but we got him slimmed down) he is a super affectionate and loving boy. He will make a wonderful companion for some lucky family. Parker is terrified of cats and avoids them. He has the most unusual chocolate coat with spots of brindle markings mixed in. We are told that he is part Weimaraner, and we suspect some Lab and maybe Beagle mixed in!

Don't miss this opportunity to adopt a great dog that will forever grateful for a second chance.
