WALLY's Story...
Hello I’m Wally, aka Wally the Wonder Dog. I’m a 5 year old purebred Dachshund and I weigh about 15 pounds. I have short hair which is good, not as much for you to clean up. My Mommy is moving and I need a new home. I must have a fence yard as I love to run but if the yard isn’t fence in I will run away. I love chasing squirrels and birds but this will cause me to bark somewhat. I love sleeping with someone and having a blanket over me but I also can sleep in a big carrier and can cover myself up with a blanket, no really I can cover myself. You will love this trick! I don’t like it outside when it drops below 30 degrees. I will play outside for a while but have to come in and get warmed up. I’m housetrained but sometimes I don’t make it out in time, so you might have a spot to clean up every so often. I love cats as I live with 4 cats now and I also love other dogs. The first time I meet another dog I will bark at him but just give us a few minutes and things will be great. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

WALLY, a Salem Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Salem, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
