Cookie's Story...
Get your hand outta the cookie jar, man! You keep eating that junk food, and it’ll catch up…a love handle here…a pot belly there…before you know it you have to buy a new wardrobe! But do not fear, I have a solution…a gluten-free, fat-free, sugar-free alternative…ME! Cookie! Instead of eating those cookies, you can just hang with me, and we can go jogging, go hiking, or spend the weekend camping! I’d love an active family to take me fun places, followed by lots and lots of snuggle time! I enjoy sharing my sweetness with kids and other dogs, and I’d love to have a human who is willing to train the heck outta me…I’m smart and I like to please…So jump off the junk food train and get on board with Cookie! 2 years old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
