My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jacques - a handsome guy who puts the "gentle" in "gentleman." He was found wandering the streets in a nice neighborhood with a BB pellet lodged in his right flank. He really doesn't want to spend the rest of his life without a person of his own who'll love and cherish him. He's a very mellow guy who lives to snuggle with you and snooze while you watch TV. Although, he can be pretty zippy when he runs from one deck slider to another in the next room when he sees a raccoon! The vet estimates that he is about 12 years old. Can you give him a retirement home where he can live out his golden years? He still has a lot of life left to live.

Just to make sure there were no hidden health issues, we ran a senior blood profile on him and the results were all in the normal range. He does need 2 medications, neither of which is very expensive. Both meds are once daily: a tiny little 1/8 of a pill (in a salmon-flavored pill pocket) to make sure he eats, and powdered Miralax (hey, it's tough getting older). He's eating great, and chows down his 3 cans of Fancy Feast each day. He's a mellow guy who mostly ignores the other cats in his foster home, but he is really terrified of dogs.

Can you take a chance on this wonderful cat? When you adopt a senior cat like Jacques, you give a home to a cat who desperately needs one. There is no more satisfying experience than receiving the love that only an older rescue cat can give their new human companions. Jacques is neutered, tested negative for both FIV and FeLV, current on all his shots, had a flea preventative and is microchipped.

Can't resist his sweet face and soulful eyes? Then if you are interested in finding out more about Jacques, please fill out an application on our website.

Jacques is being fostered in Worcester and his adoption fee is $75.
