Gracie's Story...
Gracie is a 4 year old girl that is very sweet and loving. She will follow her humans anywhere. She is slower to accept dog friends, but her foster mom can show you how to make that work, too, if you have another dog. Gracie does not play with other dogs. She tolerates them. Gracie is about 28 pounds and should likely have an exercise plan to help her trim down to a slimmer figure. I am sure her cute face and happy wriggling won her human food and treats in her former home. Ideally, Gracie would love to be a companion to someone who will dote on her like the royalty she believes she is and focus all their energy on her alone. Gracie crates fine and walks on leash fairly well. She does love the fun of a chase, though, so make sure you hold the leash well when birds and other dogs are nearby.

Gracie is current on vaccines, spay/neutered and heartworm tested. Adoption fee for Gracie is $250. If you are interested in adopting Gracie, please visit our website www.furgetusnotrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Hazel Park Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Hazel Park, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hazel Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazel Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazel Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazel Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
