Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"FRITZ" is a VERY pretty black, neutered, MINIATURE Poodle that is only 2 1/2 years old (born December 2012). He stands at 16" tall from the floor to his shoulders and is a strong, healthy 15 pounds.
This quality AKC Miniature comes to us from a family with children where the owner is getting married and moving to another town home while combining her family with another family.
It was decided that Fritz go to another family where he would be able to receive more attention and love than what they had time for. Thank you, Kate.
Fritz is one of those quiet, gentle and "soft" Miniature Poodles. There is NOT a mean bone in his body. He gets along with all our Poodles and has never caused any problems.
Fritz has been an only pet, so preference will be given to a family where he can continue to be spoiled as an only dog.
While Fritz greatly enjoyed being with adults and older children, he was a bit unsure of himself when he first arrived. He also worried about who would like him here. Low self-esteem?
But once he saw that our home was a pretty nice place to be and learned about our rules and requirements, he quickly made himself at home.
Poodles are very intelligent dogs and Fritz certainly fits that description. Obedience training will be required along with a family willing to work with him so his confidence and soft disposition isn't crushed.
He is VERY "food motivated" so he will do anything for a treat! Think I can get him to do the vacuuming?
Oh yes, Fritz just LOVES to run!! It's called the "Poodle Zoomies" and is very typical for these young Miniature Poodles.
Even the Standard Poodle "Bailey" can not keep up with Fritz.
A fenced yard would be greatly appreciated so Fritz can burn off his desire to run. He also enjoys walking, but work is going to be required there.
A ball?? You betcha! Just throw any ball and Fritz will spend hours playing with that ball in our home or outside in the back yard.
I have found that Fritz can be selective about when he wants to be held, cuddled and loved. Sometimes he needs me to hold and love him. Yet other times, he will jump out of my lap and give me that look: "Hey! Forget you, lady!" Sorry. No kisses available from this boy.
Oh my goodness! Isn't he pretty? I really like this boy and would also love to keep him. However, he needs a home of his own.
Fritz has bee a perfect gentleman in our home. He also had been sleeping in a human bed at night and would enjoy to continue with that privilege.
We will adopt to a family with older children. However, you need to understand that the responsibility and care of a dog must be accepted by the adult parents.
This care can be delegated to children, but as Fritz sadly learned, children can quickly lose interest and become involved with other things besides him.
This is NOT a rescued Poodle, but instead a very nice Poodle who is being "rehomed".
Fritz is a very rare opportunity for the right family! His $450.00 (plus $31.00 Mn Sale Tax) adoption fee will include all of his past Vet records, his kennel, toys, leash, collar and blankets.
He has been Vet checked, teeth were cleaned, heartworm and Lymes tested negative, placed on a heartworm preventative, Advantix ii treated (we live in the woods), wormed, shots are all up to date and he has been Home Again micro-chipped with registration included.
We are also including a coat, a few bags of dog food, various dog treats and lots of good information to help your adoption to start off on the right paw forward!
Please visit our web site for more pictures and information about us. If you have any specific questions or if you would like Fritz's "Application For Adoption", please contact us.
