My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Panda: Life of the party! Panda came in to us after her owner could not find a place to live that would allow him to take her along, so she has had quite a shock adjusting to life in a shelter.

One of the first things we noticed about Panda is her softness when any affection is lavished on her- she puts her ears back and curls her side body right into you as if this is love she has known before and craves. And then we get to see the party-girl Panda when she gets to go out on her walks, meets and plays with other dogs, or even plays by herself in the yard.

Her quick movements are hilarious and now that we have really gotten to know her, we are smitten with her spunky personality and impressed ultimately by her true gentle temperament underneath it all. We use Panda with some of out young feisty male dogs and sometimes we need to give her playmate a "time-out" when he gets too rough with her: Panda's reaction is to run over and lick her buddy's face like crazy as if to assure him that she is not mad at all. She has played with small dogs and big dogs and also has no ill-will towards cats.

Her professional evaluation showed no zero flags but certainly some jumpy excitable behaviors that we are working on with her with some basic manners routine. She has an incredible connection to humans and bonds quickly to whomever is spending time with her- She looks for assurance and approval quite often. Her eyes are curious and inquisitive as are her VERY high and big ears that sit tall on her head when she is waiting for instructions on what to do next.

She would thrive in a home with another dog for companionship (she always tries to sneak in other dogs kennels when we are putting her back) or if she could have a situation where she could be with people most of the time since she is an "I really like having company' kind of a girl.

Her love of life and happy personality has a soft side and she puts herself into a full frog pose on her belly when she is tired so can 100% settle down and just chill with you. People friendly, dog friendly, cat friendly---Fenced-in yard or someone who could give her proper exercise and playtime daily needed! She is spayed and has been very well cared for in her past life….she is now ready for her real forever home.
